Hello there. We are so glad you found your way to our corner of the internet. Whether you’re just "window shopping" for support or looking for a soft place to land during a hard week, you’ve found a community that truly understands.

At In My Head, we know that the first step is often the heaviest. That’s why we’ve kept the doors to our Guest Lounge wide open. You don’t need an account or a username to start off; you can post anonymously right now to:
  • Test the Waters: Not sure how an In My Head forum works? Ask a "no-pressure" question about how we do things here.
  • Release the Pressure: If your head feels a bit too full, use this space to get those thoughts out into the world.
  • The "Is It Just Me?" Check: Whether it’s about a diagnosis, a specific struggle, or just a general curiosity, your voice is welcome. No judgment, just listening.
A Community of Lived Experience

In this space, you aren’t a "patient"—you’re a person. While we aren’t doctors (unless you see someone sporting a Wellbeing Team badge!), we are experts in the "lived experience."

We don’t give medical advice at In My Head, but we do offer a virtual seat at the table. We share what has worked for us and point you toward the same reliable resources that helped us find our own way through. Sometimes, making that first connection with someone who just "gets it" is the turning point you’ve been looking for.

Staying Safe (The Essentials)

While our In My Head hearts are global, our home is in the UK. Much of our signposting and collective experience is centered around the NHS and UK-based support systems.

If you are in a crisis: Please do not wait for a forum reply. Your safety is more important than any conversation.
  • UK: Call 999 or go to your local A&E immediately.
  • Outside the UK: Please contact your local emergency services right away.
  • Non-Urgent Help (UK): Call 111 for advice or book an appointment with your GP. For more details, visit our Get Urgent Help page.
Stay a While?

We would love to see you become a permanent part of the In My Head family. Joining is completely free and unlocks the full map of our community, including the Common Room and our specialized support hubs.

Until then, take your time. Stay anonymous, stay as long as you need, and share what’s on your mind when you're ready.

We’re glad you’re here.
