Vitamin D
I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on Vitamin D intake. A few years ago, I had a blood test where it was shown I was vitamin d deficient amongst other things e.g. calcium.
Anyway, we are now forward a few years later (still taking the prescribed medication) and still being rendered vitamin d deficient.
Does anybody else have any suggestions?
Yes - I will go to the GP anyway, just wondered if anybody else has been experiencing the same issues and what they did?
Note to mod: I am not seeking medical advice.

Re: Vitamin D
Hi there.
Don't forget its that time of year again where the sun is not out shining. I ALWAYS feel immediately better come April, where the sun tends to come back. Don't put yourself down, sometimes we need a little help. If it was me and I knew I was on some vitamins and I was still insufficient, I would go back and ask for a review.

Au revoir! I have EUPD - EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE Personality Disorder, so please be kind.

Re: Vitamin D
Greetings
This is a simple one as none of us here can advise you other than the explanation that HangryCaterpilla has given in respect of sunlight.
If I were you, I would visit the GP as something isn't clearly right, maybe you need something stronger or an alternative. I'm not a GP but I don't think we can advise you any further on this topic.
Have the conversations and let us know how you get on. Sharing is caring

Don't feel alone - its not you. I have osteopenia and I have been talking Vitamin D + Calcium tablet.
I have been taking for well over 1 year and I am still deficient. I am borderline, but always have been. I can only assume this is the best I can get - definitely worth you asking a question though.

Re: Vitamin D
I am on a multivitamin.....no idea if it works.....probably a blood test to take and see....but most people take multivitamins nowadays so I joined the band wagon.....I just don't think over the counter vitamins are not nowhere near the strength of the prescribed medication....go get a GP test.

Re: Vitamin D
Sorry you are going through this, I've heard stories of being on it long term. Sounds like Jcob is doing this, but he can confirm and as always - speak to your doc/GP.
